Diane Jones a resident of the community surrounding UMBC and is currently the Deputy to the Associate Director for Science in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). She was previously Director of Government Affairs for Princeton University , and part owner of a biotechnology firm located in UMBC's high tech business incubator and previously served on the executive boards of both the Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce and the Catonsville 2000. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and holds a Master of Science degree in applied molecular biology from UMBC. Prior to her position at Princeton , Ms. Jones was a member of the Professional Staff on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, a Program Officer at the National Science Foundation, and a professor of physiology and biotechnology at the Community College of Baltimore County.
