Location and Accessibility
UMBC is located just 15 minutes from Baltimore's Inner Harbor, 45 minutes from Washington, D.C. and five minutes from Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) airport. Bus service is available from downtown Baltimore; AMTRAK and MARC commuter trains serve the nearby BWI Rail Station.

The nearby towns of Catonsville (Frederick Road) and Arbutus (East Drive) have retail districts with a variety of small shops and services to give you that "at home atmosphere." Ellicott City, 10 minutes away, is a historic mill town with excellent antique shops.

The open-air walkways and shops of Baltimore's Harborplace, as well as Camden Yards, home of the Orioles, and M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Ravens, are also convenient to UMBC.

Just 30 Minutes to the Washington Beltway
The Research Park and Technology Center are a convenient drive away from Washington, D.C.'s scientific and technical agencies including the Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health.

On Interstate 95
UMBC is in the center of the Baltimore-Washington corridor, with easy access to Philadelphia and New York. The Research Park and Technology Center are located immediately off Interstate I-95.

From Washington :
-Take I-95 North (towards Baltimore ), pass Harbor Tunnel (I-895) exit
-Next exit will be I-195 and bear left (West towards Catonsville )
-Bear to the right when you see signs for the UMBC Campus
-At the first stop sign, go right on Research Park Drive
-5523 is the second building on your left. We are located on the third floor, Suite 310

From Baltimore Beltway I- 695:
-Take I-695 West (Baltimore Beltway) to exit 12C ( Wilkens Avenue, West )
-Follow signs to UMBC (drive approx. 1½ miles) to the circle and bear left to Hilltop Road
-Right on Hilltop Circle (at the light)
-Proceed on Hilltop Circle until the road branches toward the right to UMBC Blvd
-At the first stop sign, go left on Research Park Drive
-5523 is the second building on your left. We are located on the third floor, Suite 310

From Downtown Baltimore :
-Take I-395 south to I-95 south via the exit on the left towards Washington
-Take the next exit, I-195 and bear right (West towards Catonsville )
-Continue on I-195 West to Rt. 166
-Bear to the right when you see signs for the UMBC Campus
-At the first stop sign, go right on Research Park Drive
