Research and Technology Park:
opportunities available to locate your company at the Research Park! We are actively seeking tenants for our newest multi-tenant building, 5520 research Park Drive. The building is a 110,000 sf class A office building with state-of-the-art telecommunications connectivity, located on the UMBC campus in the heart of an innovative research and technology community.

Incubator and Accelerator:
bwtech@UMBC has office and lab space available at the Incubator. The various office and lab suites are specifically designed for incubator and accelerator technology companies. Some of the space available includes:
• 2nd floor, 5 offices comprising 800 square feet
• 2nd floor, secure office suite consisting of 9 executive offices and kitchen totaling 2,000 square feet
• 3rd floor, office suite totaling 1,800 square feet (former SCIF space).
• 4th floor, 7 laboratories totaling 5,000 square feet and 2,500 square feet of office space.

Pedestrian Bridge Update
For your convenience, construction of a pedestrian bridge from Research Park to the UMBC Campus is underway. We anticipate this project will run about 8 +/- weeks pending weather conditions Unfortunately, for part of that time, there will be noise created by the pile driving and a loss of 10 parking spaces. We apologize fro any inconvenience.

Plant Sensory Systems Receives Award

Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith will present the bwtech@UMBC Incubator and Accelerator with the County's New Directions Award, an honor given to a company or organization that exemplifies the quality of Baltimore County businesses in the future. The award will be given at the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame Awards Dinner on Thursday, November 20 at the Marriott Hunt Valley.

CIRC Software Workshop on SPSS
12:00 - 1:00 p.m., UMBC, ENGR 122
In collaboration with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), CIRC provides hands-on workshops on mathematical and statistical software packages including MATLAB, FEMLAB, Microsoft Access, SAS, S-Plus, and SPSS. They offer both introductory workshops for first-time users as well as advanced workshops on more specialized features of the software packages. The workshops are taught interactively in an instructional computer lab at UMBC accompanied by tutorial handouts.
SPSS for Windows provides a powerful statistical analysis and data management system in a graphical environment, using descriptive menus and simple dialog boxes to do most of the work for you. Most tasks can be accomplished simply by pointing and clicking the mouse.
